Dairy products, another group often cut out by those hoping to how to lose weight fast, contain essential nutrients like calcium, protein and B vitamins. Unless a person has a food allergy or intolerance that would cause a doctor to recommend eliminating dairy, they would be ill advised to do so.
Many diets also recommend eliminating or reducing the consumption of grains, arguing that the carbohydrates cause weight gain. However, grains also contain iron and other important minerals. Grains as well contain fiber which aids digestion.
